BTS' Jimin marked his 30th birthday in style, with fans around the world turning the occasion into a massive celebration. His fellow members shared unseen photos of him for his birthday.
Jimin, the member of legendary K-pop band BTS, celebrated his milestone 30th birthday yesterday. Fans turned his special day into a global festivity. From trending hashtags to large-scale birthday projects, the BTS ARMY made sure the singer felt the love worldwide. But his fellow members sharing cute photos that were never seen before quickly caught everyone’s attention.
J-Hope was the first to post a candid picture of Jimin at the beach, seemingly from their stay in Los Angeles. In the photo, the Set Me Free Pt. 2 singer could be seen playfully posing on one leg before the crashing waves, capturing the carefree bond between the two friends.
RM followed with a never-before-seen snapshot of Jimin during one of their US vacations. Fans quickly gushed over how the BTS leader’s photo revealed their camaraderie.
V, Jimin’s longtime friend, took fans on a nostalgic trip down memory lane. He shared two photos, one being a goofy selfie from their rookie days, both sporting funny sunglasses, and another from their “cotton candy hair” era during a concert, when Jimin had pink locks and V had electric blue.
The city of Busan was decked out for Jimin’s birthday. The streets were filled with banners of the artist, and digital posters were flashed on subway stations.
The city became what the fans are calling “Jimin-Land” for a few days. Fans organized huge-scale projects for Jimin’s birthday, like a 2-day yacht party at Haeundae Beach on October 12 and 13, and sailed under Busan’s sky with a firework show at night. A custom bus inspired by Jimin’s second mini-album, Muse, was also cruising through the city from October 10 to 14.
Busan wasn’t the only city celebrating. In Yeoncheon, where Jimin completed his military service, fans were handing out 300 hamburger sets to soldiers, keeping his tradition of giving alive. Seoul, Incheon, and other cities were hosting exhibitions and themed cafés.
Later in the evening, Jimin went live to thank fans and share a few reflections. During the session, one fan left a heartfelt message wishing that Jimin would only have “good people” around him. Jimin acknowledged the comment with a soft sigh, and said he was grateful for the love and support from fans. “I’ve been lucky to meet good people in my life,” he said.
