Celebrity MasterChef is getting closer to its grand finale which is scheduled for April 11. In the recent episode, the celebrity contestants were given a tough challenge from Chef Rahul Rana.
He left contestants shocked when he introduced the most intense cooking task of the season. He told the contestants to replicate his Shadras dish which includes six unique dishes with 22 elements.
The contestants were unable to believe the challenging situation. The show has managed to keep audiences glued to the screens with their challenges.
The competition is getting tougher with each passing day. In the recent episode, Faisu received praise from the judges.
He even earned an advantage for the next round. While, Gaurav Khanna nearly lost the challenge. Yes, you read that right!
Rahul presented his dish which had six dishes in the cuisine including sweet, salty, astringent, bitter, sour, and pungent with 22 ingredients. The contestants were given 150 minutes to complete the challenge.
Before the challenge started, Gaurav was given a choice to use the advantage he got in the previous episode. The advantage allowed him to use Chef Rahul’s assistance in preparing the dish.
But, it seems that he failed miserably to win the challenge. Shadras is a pleasing meal with excessive colours and it made it difficult for Gaurav, who struggled due to his colour blindness.
The actor found sweet potato roasting difficult and took advantage of Rahul Rana’s assistance. With Chef’s help, Gaurav completed the dish.
Faisal Shaikh aka Faisu who was under pressure while preparing the dish was motivated by judges Farah Khan, Rahul and Ranveer Brar. Chef Vikas Khanna announced the results and said that Rahul’s and Gaurav’s dishes were extremely similar. But, Faisu was declared the winner and received an edge for the upcoming challenge. Chef Vikas revealed that 16 out of the 22 components were present in Faisu’s dish. Chef Ranveer Brar revealed that Gaurav missed the hat trick.
