Comedian Kunal Kamra is currently in news because of the satirical song he sang at his recent show. It was allegedly directed toward Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister leading to a major controversy. An FIR has been lodged against him by a Shiv Sena MLA.
Amid the controversy, Kunal Kamra has now hit headlines as he has claimed that he was approached for the next season of Salman Khan's controversial show Bigg Boss.
Kunal Kamra took to his social media account to share a screenshot of a message that he received from an alleged casting director for Bigg Boss asking him to participate in the show.
The message sent to Kunal Kamra read, 'I am handling the casting for this season of Bigg Boss and your name came up as someone they might find interesting. I know it might not have been on your radar, but honestly, it’s such a mad platform to show your real vibe and win over a massive audience. What do you think? Should we talk about it?'
Kunal Kamra replied to to person and rejected the offer. In response, the comedian wrote, 'I would much rather check into a mental hospital…'. He also added Salman Khan's song to the story.
Bigg Boss 18 came to an end in January with Karan Veer Mehra being the winner. Now the chatter is for the next instalment of Bigg Boss OTT. However, it is unclear whether Kunal Kamra was approached for Bigg Boss OTT 4 or Bigg Boss 19.
Talking about Kunal Kamra and the controversy, as reported by LiveLaw, the comedian has challenged the FIR stating that it violates his fundamental rights under Articles 19 and 21 of the Constitution. The Bombay High Court has granted him protection from arrest until April 17.
Kunal Kamra's controversy further intensified as he penned about BookMyShow delisting him on their platform. In return, the platform shared a statement saying that the facts have been misrepresented in public.
