Dharmendra had once put out a note for wife Hema Malini and their daughters Esha Deol and Ahana Deol. What could have been the reason?
Dharmendra was a legendary actor known for giving us iconic films like Sholay, Chupke Chupke, Haqeeqat, Seeta Aur Geeta, and more. But there was a time the actor made headlines for something much more personal to him. It was when he apologized to his second wife, Hema Malini, and their daughters, Esha and Ahana Deol.
This incident took place when Karan Deol, Sunny Deol’s son, and Dharmendra’s daughter tied the knot with Drisha Acharya on 18 June 2023. The entire event was a very star-studded affair, with very big names from the industry attending the wedding. However, there were some people who were missing from that list.
Those people were Dharmendra’s second wife, Hema Malini, and their children. The absence of Hema, Esha, and Ahana raised a lot of speculations among the fans and media. Later, Esha even congratulated the newlywed couple through her Instagram stories.
Later, it was revealed that Dharmendra had not personally invited them to the wedding. Dharmendra eventually penned down an apology note for the three, explaining that his old age was the reason he could not do so. He shared a picture with his oldest daughter and wrote the note in the caption.
“Esha , Ahana , Hema and all my darling kids ……loving Takhtani’s and Vohra’s l love you and respect you all from the core of my heart……age and illness is telling upon me I could have spoken personally to to you ……..but ?,” he wrote
Later, Esha took to Instagram as well, where she shared an image from her own wedding day. In the picture, the couple was present along with Dharmendra and Hema Malini. In the captions, she expressed her love for her father.
She wrote, “Love you papa . You are the best. Love you unconditionally & you know that . Cheer up & always be happy & healthy. Love u ??,”
For the unversed, Hema Malini was the second wife of Dharmendra. He was married to Prakash Kaur, with whom he had 2 kids, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. He then fell in love and got married to Hema Malini, with whom he had two daughters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol, making them step-siblings to Sunny and Bobby.
