The film of Salman Khan we are talking about is Tiger 3, which still holds the record for the highest first Monday box office collection. Despite the release of several major films, no one has been able to break this record.
Recently released Ranveer Singh's film Dhurandhar is making waves. Since its release on December 5, the film has been consistently earning well and has already set several new records.
But when it comes to first Monday collections, Dhurandhar failed to break the same records as other films. The film failed to even make the list of the top 10 highest-grossing films on its first Monday.
According to a report by Sacnilk, Salman Khan's Tiger 3 earned a whopping Rs 58 crore on its first Monday. This record has remained unbroken since 2023. Meanwhile, Dhurandhar only managed to earn Rs 23 crore on its first Monday, which is significantly less than Tiger 3's record.
Speaking of the top films, after Tiger 3, is Pushpa: The Rule Part 2, which is at the second position, earning Rs 46.4 crore on its first Monday. Baahubali 2 is at number three, with a collection of Rs 40.25 crore.
Furthermore, Animal and Gadar 2 are also included in the top 5. These films also earned approximately Rs 38 to Rs 40 crore on Monday. However, Dhurandhar lagged far behind these films.
Salman Khan was seen in Tiger 3 alongside Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi. The film, which was released on Diwali 2023, was well received by the audience, and its first Monday record remains unbroken to date.
