Some incidents from childhood have a harsh effect on the mind and body, which remain for a very long time. Today, we will tell you about one such experience of an actress that affected her and her family.
The actress we are talking about is none other than Divya Dutta, who recently opened up about a horrifying incident from her past during the turbulent Punjab insurgency of the 1980s.
In a conversation with Hindi Rush, Divya revealed that she once received a kidnapping threat when she was young. Recalling the incident, she revealed that it had deeply impacted her and her family.
According to Divya, the unrest created an environment where some individuals exploited the climate of fear, and her family received a threatening letter about potential kidnapping, causing them immense distress.
In the interview, Divya emphasized the power of community support that helped her go through that situation. She said, “Chote sheheron mein support system bahut strong hota hai.” Adding on, she said that people often came together to help each other.
Talking about her single mother, she revealed that she found strength in the close neighbourhood bond. “Small town ki beauty yeh hoti hai ki aapke sab rishtedaar aapke aas pass hote hain. Meri mummy akeli thi, toh har koi unke saath khada tha... Jab aap akele hote huye bhi akele nahi hote, woh shayad ek khoobsurat neighbourhood hota hai.”
Divya Dutta has been ruling the cinema with her powerful acting and charming personality. She has been part of numerous projects, including Veer-Zaara and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. Her darker share in Badlapur was also appreciated. She has worked in hits like Delhi-6 and Baghban.
