Esha Gupta has talked about her past fight with Sajid Khan while filming Humshakals and had taken a firm decision to walk out of the film.
Esha Gupta opens up about her past clash with Sajid Khan on the sets of Humshakals. She revealed how Sajid had verbally abused her, prompting her to consider quitting the film.
In a recent conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Esha recalled the incident during the filming of Humshakals and said that she nearly walked out of the film. However, the producer intervened, apologising and convincing her to stay. Sajid later apologised for his behaviour.
During the conversation, Esha Gupta said, ‘I had a fight. Sajid Khan and I were not at all on the same page, and we ended up having a proper fight. It happened once, and after that, things were never the same. See, I don’t like people abusing me. You should always treat people the way you want them to treat you. It’s that simple. Unhone mujhe gaali di… phir maine bhi di.’
The actress had a firm decision to walk out of the film. Esha added that she walked out of the set and went home. However, the producer Vashu Bhagnani apologised to her before Sajid. This made her change her mind.
However, when asked what led to the fight, Esha said that some people speak without thinking due to frustration. She chose not to elaborate, having moved on from the incident and also clarified that Sajid's misconduct towards her wasn't related to the #MeToo allegations against him.
Esha Gupta revealed that a newspaper had wrongly added her name to Sajid Khan’s dating history, which was false, securing an apology. The actress clarified that she hasn't accused Sajid Khan of #MeToo allegations, despite someone falsely linking her name to the list of accusers.
Esha Gupta will be seen in the upcoming film Dhamaal 4, which stars Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, and Jaaved Jaaferi. The film is set to release on Eid 2026, according to the Times of India.
