In an interview, Rashmi shared the painful experience of her struggles. Rashmi said that the beginning of her career was not easy. When she was just 16 years old, she was called on for an audition. When she reached there, only the person who had called her was present in the room. Rashmi said that at that time she felt very uncomfortable.
Rashmi said, “I remember I was called for an audition and when I went there, there was no one else except him. I was just 16 back then and he tried to get me unconscious. I was uncomfortable and somehow managed to come out from there and later, after a few hours, I told everything to my mother. Rashmi said that she somehow gathered courage, and saved herself.
The very next day, Rashmi went to meet that person with her mother. “I remember I was called for an audition and when I went there, there was no one else except him. Rashmi said that casting couch is a reality and it is not limited to the entertainment industry only. She said that there are good and bad people in every industry. It depends on our choice as to whom we want to work with. However, despite the initial struggle and hardships, Rashmi believes that luck later gave her the opportunity to work with the best people.
She also shared that in the further journey of her career, she got the opportunity to work with many honest and talented producers and directors. The experience of working with these people was very positive. Rashmi says that it was God's blessing that she could move in the right direction and make her place in the industry.
Today Rashmi Desai is appreciated not only in the world of TV but also in digital platforms and films. She has made a strong presence in TV shows like Ishq Ka Rang Safed and Adhuri Kahani Hamari. She has also worked in web series like Hisaab Barabar and Avra: The Blessing of God.
