The actress we are talking about is none other than Janki Bodiwala, who made her Bollywood debut with Shaitaan in 2024 alongside Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, and Jyotika. Janki has established herself as a star in Gujarati Cinema.
Talking about the film Shaitaan, it is a Hindi remake of a popular Gujarati film, Vash, in which Janki originally played the lead role. The actress revealed the intense preparation for her role while shooting for the film.
Janki revealed that the director of the film, Krishnadev Yagnik, has asked her if she can pee in real while shooting one of the scenes in Vash. “I did the Gujarati version, and I had the same scene to perform there. While we were doing workshops, the director is a very good person. He asked me, can you just do it for real? The pee scene. It will make a big impact.”
Talking about her reaction, Janki said, “I was so happy about it. Like, whoa! Being an actor, I’m getting a chance to do it on screen. Something that no one has ever done.” The director believed that peeing in actuality would make the scene more real.”
Janki revealed that shooting the scene would not be practically possible, so they did it appropriately. “So we found a way of doing that. I was happy I got to do things I can’t in real life. And that scene is the favourite scene. And because of that scene, I said yes to that film,”
The Vash was released in 2023; at that time, Janki was 28 years old. Apart from Janki, Hiten Kumar, Hitu Kanodia, Niilam Paanchal, Aaryan Sanghvi, and others were also featured in the film.
In the film Vash, Janki played the role of Aarya, while in the Hindi version of the film, she was seen in the character of Janhvi, Ajay and Jyotika’s daughter, who was trapped under black magic by a mysterious stranger, and her parents stood up to save her life.
