Bridal style doesn't have to be traditional, as Jennifer Winget is demonstrating. The actress gave fans a closer peek at her private haldi ceremony a few days after revealing details from her idyllic wedding to businessman William Ishmael.
Jennifer's surprising choice of a sage green lehenga quickly became the centrepiece of the festivities, even though the event was full of the typical sunshine-yellow hues.
On the occasion of Friendship Day, Jennifer shared several never-before-seen photos from her pre-wedding party along with a heartfelt message to the people who helped make the day special.
Reflecting on the memories, she wrote, My haldi wasn't just a celebration... it was a room full of love. Every time I look at these pictures, I notice something new... a smile, a hug, someone cheering us on, someone making sure everything was perfect.
Instead of the traditional yellow palette, Jennifer chose a cool sage green combination that added a modern touch to haldi dressing. The lehenga has a flowing skirt embellished with enormous flower appliqué patterns in white, black, olive, and metallic silver.
She teamed the skirt with a rich olive-green velvet top with a deep V-neckline. A transparent organza dupatta in a matching pastel green tone was casually thrown over one shoulder to complete the look, allowing the intricate workmanship to take centre stage.
