Karisma Kapoor, dressed elegantly in a black-and-white kurta combo, joined the event with her family. Due to an ongoing legal dispute with her ex-husband Sunjay Kapur's widow, Priya Sachdev, over his Rs 30,000 crore fortune, her children, Samaira and Kiaan, are now in the headlines. As she posted pictures from the private family gathering, Karisma seemed upbeat despite the criticism.
Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor's husband, and their kids Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan also attended the festivities. The celebrations were also attended by Ibrahim Ali Khan, Saif's son from a previous marriage.

Dhanteras on Saturday marked the beginning of the five-day Diwali celebrations. This year, October 20–21 is when Diwali is celebrated.
