Kim Soo Hyun's dating scandal seems to have no end. The high-profile, controversial case takes a fresh turn after Korean media outlets have reported that the person who has asked for a deposit from Kim Sae Ron’s landlord is none other than the late actress’s father.
As per reports in Money Today, Sae Ron’s father went to the landlord the next day after her funeral to ask for a return of the deposit money. However, he was surprised to learn that the money was not paid by Kim Sae Ron herself.
Further reports in Money Today reveal, when the late actress's father went to the landlord for the deposit money. He reveals that the money was not paid by the actress but by someone known as Mr. A. Reportedly, the money was close to 36,000 USD.
This MR. A is said to be an executive from an education company who helped Sae Ron in financial struggles. Reportedly, Mr A paid deposits for two of Kim Sae Ron’s apartments, and a singer friend, referred to as B, also contributed to one of the deposits.
One of the deposits was for a place in Nonhyeon-dong in 2023, and the other one was in Seongsu-dong, where the actress spent her last few weeks. Seongsu-dong is the same place where the actress reportedly committed suicide.
Mr A and B directly handed over the amount to the landlord instead of giving it to Sae Ron as a loan sum. However, after learning the truth from the landlord, Kim Sae Ron’s father withdrew the request. However, YouTuber Lee Jin Ho makes new revelations in the case.
Lee Jin Ho discussed the Kim Soo-Hyun case on his podcast, predicting it would likely wrap up by October or November 2025. He noted that cases typically don't extend beyond three months. Kim Soo-Hyun's liability would depend on proof of a physically intimate relationship with underage Kim Sae-Ron, potentially leading to a civil case. At the time, the legal age of consent was 13.
According to Lee Jin-Ho, Kim Soo-Hyun might face lawsuits from advertisers, potentially requiring him to return endorsement fees and pay damages. However, he noted that lawsuits tend to be more severe in cases involving criminal liability, such as domestic violence or DUI.
