Rajan Shahi’s Anupamaa began airing since July 2020. The heavy-on-drama TV show stars Rupali Ganguly, Sudhanshu Panday in the lead. For more than 10 weeks, give or take, Anupamaa has maintained its top position on the TRP list. With more than 3.5 million viewership impressions every week, what makes Anupamaa a hit amongst masses? Well, firstly, the intriguing storyline. When a woman discovers her husband’s infidelity, how much can she risk? The makers have captivated the audience by creating a storyline that touches upon the emotions of each character resulting from the incident. Anupamaa has a brilliant cast. Every actor is into the skin of the character that makes us believe in their story/emotions. On the other hand, the makers and writers of Anupamaa have admirably delved into the smallest of issues to the biggest of problems. Be it Anupamaa’s road to discovery to the hurdles she faces, including Vanraj’s egoistical nature to his repentance or negligence and the situations resulting in the same, the story is moving forward in a very interesting manner.

Kundali Bhagya

Kundali Bhagya has been around since 2017. The show initially focused on Preeta, Srishti, Karan, Rishabh and Sameer. Now, it essentially focusses on Preeta played by Shraddha Arya and Karan aka Dheeraj Dhoopar. They introduced a few new characters on the show as well, which are now playing parallel leads. They had diverted the focus from Karan and Preeta’s love story by introducing a slight tiresome plot. Now, having brought Prithvi aka Sanjay Gagnani into focus while also advancing Karan and Preeta’s love story, the makers have finally tapped the audience’s demands, interests. Kundali Bhagya had slipped down the TRP list for the last two weeks, however, they have picked up again and are now on the second spot with 2.9 million viewership impressions. What makes Kundali Bhagya a hit? Well, let’s face it, PreeRan has a huge fan base, they have a crackling chemistry on-screen.

Imlie

Gul Khan brought Imlie onto television screens in November last year. She took a big risk bringing back a concept, which had been tried, tested and failed earlier. With new faces, Gul Khan introduced Sumbul Touqeer, Gashmeer Mahajani and Mayuri Deshmukh as Imlie, Aditya and Malini to the audience. The rural backdrop, the characters and their dilemma have been portrayed very well on the show. Sumbul, Mayuri and Gashmeer have been widely appreciated for their performances in Imlie. Now, as the makers plan to bring Imlie and Aditya’s storyline, we wonder how the audience would react to the same.

Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin

Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin is set against a Maharashtrian backdrop. It features Neil Bhatt, Ayesha Singh and Aishwarya Sharma in lead roles. A classic love triangle story but with interesting characters and plot points, we must say. Due to his promise to Sai’s father, Virat marries Sai. Pakhi, his beloved, is married to his cousin, Samrat. Virat slowly grows fond of Sai while Pakhi still yearns for Virat. Though an adaptation, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin has become everyone’s favourite thanks to the chemistry between the leads and the interesting sub-plots. Fans are loving Neil Bhatt’s chemistry with Ayesha Singh though he is engaged to Aishwarya Sharma in real life. Fans are currently missing the SaiRat moments, their fights and their cute late-night conversations as Neil had recently tested positive for COVID.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai

Rajan Shahi took a great risk by killing Naira in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. The audience lost interest in the show thereafter. However, it slowly picked up again by bringing Sirat and Kartik face-to-face. Now, the makers are trying to kickstart Sirat and Kartik’s love story. Sirat has already grown attached to Kairav. Kartik is in a dilemma as he constantly sees Naira in Sirat. Now we hear, another major plot change will take place in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Kaira had a HUGE fanbase already. And now, it seems like Sirat is making a place in the hearts of the audience, too. Both Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan are brilliant in their roles.
