TV show Anupama star Rupali Ganguly always gives her opinion on national and international issues. On Monday, she fiercely targeted former US President Donald Trump's trade advisor Peter Navarro on Twitter.
Rupali reacted strongly to Navarro's Brahmins profiteering statement. She wrote, Let’s be clear! Brahmins aren’t responsible for your failed trade policies or America’s economic mess.
Rupali further added, “Targeting a community with casteist jibes won’t hide your record of blunders. Don’t drag Brahmins or India to hide your mess. That old trick won’t work anymore, Indians stand united.
According to the Times of India, Navarro had said in a conversation with Fox News, Look, Modi's a great leader. I don't understand why he's getting into bed with Putin and Xi Jinping when he's the biggest democracy in the world. So I would just simply say to the Indian people.
Navarro had further said, Please, understand what's going on here. You've got Brahmins profiteering at the expense of the Indian people. We need that to stop. Yeah, and we'll be watching that closely.
This is not the first time Rupali has spoken on a social issue. A few weeks ago, the Supreme Court had ordered that stray dogs in Delhi-NCR be shifted to shelter homes. At that time too, she had reacted. Rupali had shared a video on that decision in which she was seen with a stray dog. She had captioned the video, Ye Desh inka bhi hai Ye Duniya inki bhi hai Compassion and Kindness over hatred and cruelty Jai Pashupatinath.
Anupamaa show is ruling the TRP charts. As per the ratings of week 33, the show remained at number one. The show garnered a TRP of 2.3 and left behind other serials.
