Bollywood actress and TV personality Shehnaaz Gill recently addressed the ongoing rumours linking her to Indian cricketer Shubman Gill. Fans have often speculated that the two might be related because they share the same surname.
During a candid chat on Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast, Shehnaaz playfully responded to the question about Shubman, saying he could be her “brother” since they’re both from the same region in Punjab.
Laughing off the speculation, Shehnaaz said, “He must be my brother. He’s probably from our side, maybe from Amritsar. When he trends, I trend too. There must be some brother-sister connection!”
Shehnaaz didn’t stop there, she also praised Shubman for his cricketing skills, saying, “He’s playing really well, and he’s very lovely (bohot pyara hai).”
Shehnaaz Gill first gained fame from Bigg Boss 13, where her fun personality made her a fan favourite. Since then, she has appeared in several music videos and made her Bollywood debut opposite Salman Khan in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.
Meanwhile, former India captain Sourav Ganguly recently praised Shubman, calling him “a perfect captain.” Ganguly applauded his leadership and consistency with the bat.
Shubman Gill impressed everyone by leading India to a 2-2 draw against England in his debut Test series as captain. The 26-year-old scored 754 runs in five Tests, including four centuries, breaking Sunil Gavaskar’s record for the most runs by an Indian captain in a Test series.
While Shehnaaz and Shubman may not actually be related, fans loved her light-hearted take on the rumour. Both stars continue to shine bright, Shehnaaz in Bollywood and Shubman on the cricket field.
