Korean web series Squid Game is all the rage everywhere – it has become a global phenomenon and is quite literally the only show on everyone's lips for the time being. Several great web series have come and gone, including this year, but few have managed to come close to the euphoria that is Squid Game, so much so that it has also managed to edge past the eagerly anticipated Money Heist season 5 volume 1 in terms of popularity this year. To sum it up, here’s a list of all-time famous web series that Squid Game is now bossing on OTT platforms…

As mentioned before, Netflix’s own Money Heist season 5 volume 1 was the most highly anticipated web series of all time after Game of Thrones season 8, and then Squid Game’s numbers blew it away. Let’s see if Money Heist 5 volume 2 will be able to better it.

Another Netflix property, Stranger Things, like Money Heist, was one of the top rated shows of all time, and now, it, too, is playing catchup to Squid Game.

Coming back to HBO Max’s Game of Thrones, season 8 had garnered the maximum rating ever for a TV show or web series after India’s own Ramayan rerun. Needless to say, Squid Game has left it behind, too.

As popular as The Mandalorian is, the Disney+ Hotstar show doesn’t come close to the numbers of Netflix’s Squid Game.
