Since its release last week, the intense romantic film Tere Ishk Mein has been dominating the box office. Unlike regular love stories, this film showcases a deep, genuine love that stays fresh in your mind even after you walk out of the theatres.
Starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, the film is directed by Aanand L Rai, and this is his third project with Dhanush. The film has completed one week in theatres, and during this period, it has earned heavily. Let’s find out how Tere Ishk Mein performed at the box office on Day 8.
The first week of Tere Ishk Mein was quite impressive. In fact, the film had created a massive hype even before its release, and once it hit the theatres, the audience rushed to watch it. It not only had a strong opening but also created a storm during the opening weekend, thanks to positive word of mouth.
Though its earnings slowed down on weekdays, the collections remained strong. However, as soon as it entered the second week, it had to face competition from Ranveer Singh’s new release Dhurandhar, which kind of affected its box office performance. Reports suggest that there has been a small drop in the film’s Day 8 collections.
Talking about the numbers, Tere Ishk Mein earned Rs. 83.65 crore in its first week. Meanwhile, according to Sacnilk’s early trend report, Tere Ishk Mein earned 3.65 crore on its 8th day of release, i.e., the second Friday. With this, the total 8-day collection of Tere Ishk Mein has now reached Rs. 87.30 crore.
Despite the drop in collections on Day 8, the film has earned more than its budget within the first eight days. According to Filmibeat, the budget of Tere Ishk Mein is 85 crore, while the film has already earned more than 87 crore. It is now moving toward the 100-crore mark.
If the film experiences a boost during the second weekend, it may enter the 100-crore club. However, due to Dhurandhar’s release, this may not be as easy.
Tere Ishk Mein has achieved another major milestone on its 8th day. It has surpassed the India net lifetime collection of Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa’s superhit film Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, which had collected Rs. 85.80 crore, becoming the third-highest-grossing romantic film.
