This actress rose to fame after she appeared in Salman Khan’s reality show Bigg Boss 7. While the show gave her a lot of fame, it also brought a lot of struggle for the actress. In a recent chat, she talked about how she struggled to prove herself as a serious actor to filmmakers after appearing in Bigg Boss.
In conversation with Bollywood Bubble, she shared, “I actually thought that it is part of my journey. Little did I know that it would also give me a lot of struggle to prove to filmmakers and producers that I’m here to be a serious actor and not just somebody who is wanting to be famous and make money. That wasn’t my intention at all.
While being questioned about the rumors that said that she was the lowest-paid actress on the show, with a payment of just 1 lakh per week, she said, “No, no, I got more than that.
She first met Salman on the reality show, where their friendly rapport became a highlight of the season. Years later, she says that bond still holds meaning for her. “I have been in touch with Salman. In fact, I recently met him after many years at Ganpati. I am actually very bad at keeping in touch. I live in my bubble and focus on so many things I want to do. I work on myself a lot. There are so many things you need to control and take care of when living alone in a different country that functions very differently from the one you were born and raised in with your parents.”
The actress, none other than Elli AvrRam. She spoke about Salman’s protective way of treating her, “What I am extremely grateful for, when it comes to Salman and the fondness he has had for me, is that he is very protective of his people. I do believe he has been like an angel in my life. Over the years in the industry, from what I have heard from other girls about their experiences, it has been extremely shocking. And I somehow understood that many people are scared of Salman Khan, so they don’t dare to misbehave. That’s been a beautiful form of protection, and I’m very grateful for that.
Elisabet Avramidou Granlund, known professionally as Elli AvrRam, is a Swedish-Greek actress based in Mumbai, India. She is known for her Hindi film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon. AvrRam came to prominence after participating in the Indian reality TV show Bigg Boss in 2013. Elli along with Aamir Khan had a special appearance in the Koi Jaane Na film song Har Funn Maula.
The actress’ sweet nature and bubbly personality caught Salman’s attention during Bigg Boss 7. Many even believed she was part of his close circle. Though they haven’t worked together in any film, the two have always shared mutual respect.
Elli Avram recently appeared in a 2025 music video Zaar Zaar by Rusha & Blizza starring alongside famous influencer Ashish Chanchlani.
