Malayalam blockbuster movie Thudarum, known for its well directed sequences starring Mohanlal and Shobhana is all set to release on JioHotstar. The Malayalam film received much love across India from both the audience and the critics.
The film made its name in being one of the most iconic films at the box office. The much awaited OTT release for Thudarum has been scheduled exclusively on JioHotstar from Friday, May 30 onwards. The movie will be available online in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi.
This Mohanlal starring film received much love from its fans during its theatrical release as it became Mohanlal’s second biggest hit after L2 Empuraan, which witnessed a never-before-seen trend at the box office.
This all-time blockbuster film managed to collect a total of Rs 5 Crore on its opening day and became the first ever Malayalam film to earn over ₹100 crore in Kerala, its Kerala collection stands at ₹116 crore after one month of its run.
The global collection of this film was nothing short of spectacular, collecting ₹232.25 crore within a month and is now only behind Manjummel Boys ( ₹242 crore) and L2 Empuraan ( ₹265 crore).
This Tharun Moorthy directed film revolves around Shanmugham, a taxi driver who loves his black ambassador taxi too much as it’s his only source of income. While driving in the quiet hills of Ranni, Shanmugham loses the track of his beloved taxi and the taxi goes missing.
Shanmugham then tries desperately searching for his beloved but couldn’t find it, ultimately leading him on a hunt for his taxi. This hunt for his taxi changes Shanmugham's personality completely which takes a toll on his relation with his family.
