We are talking about Vijayta Pandit. She entered the Bollywood industry in 1981 with the film, Love Story.
She was cast opposite Kumar Gaurav in the movie. The film turned out to be a big hit. The new pairing of Vijayta and Kumar Gaurav won hearts.
Vijayta’s beauty and her acting skills proved that she is all set to become the next big star in Bollywood. Her popularity grew and she was compared with big heroines like Madhuri Dixit, Sridevi and others.
Madhuri, Sridevi were in the start of their careers and Vijayta was even considered better than them. She had huge fan clubs, her pictures were everywhere on posters, magazines.
Vijayta was at the peak of her career when she fell in love with her first costar, Kumar Gaurav. However, she started focusing only on her relationship and declined many film offers.
This decision kept her away from her professional journey. When they broke up, she was away from the limelight already. She then did a few films in mid 1980s like Mohabbat and Jeete Hain Shaan Se but they did not work well.
Many new faces has come in the industry by then and Vijayta found herself no where. The actress then married singer Aadesh Shrivastava but he passed away in 2015. Vijayta was also a playback singer. She is music composers Jatin Pandit and Lalit Pandit’s sister.
