Vivek Anand Oberoi also known as Vivek Oberoi was born on 3 September 1976. He is the son of actor Suresh Oberoi. His debut film was the 2002 gangster movie Company. The film was directed by Ram Gopal Varma and also starred Ajay Devgn and Manisha Koirala.
The actor was initially rejected for his debut film due to his high-maintained image and well-educated. The director told him that he can fit the role of slumdog, Chandu. However, Vivek decided to stay at a nearby slum for 3 weeks and go around recording how the boys spoke there.
His debut was a success which went on to earn Rs 25.02 crore at the box office.Vivek Oberoi later on delivered super hits like Saathiya, Yuva, Shootout at Lokhandwala and more. He won two Filmfare Awards for the former.
Even though he had won awards and delivered at the box office, was sitting at home for one and a half years, and nobody came to him with films. He last appeared in Rohit Shetty’s Indian Police Force.
Currently, the actor charges Rs 3-4 crore per film and boasts a whopping net worth of Rs 1200 crore and has become recognised for sharing his knowledge about financial management and investment approaches.
