They claimed that Yu is free in the other world and the card's number was designated 'P', which means 'Paradise'. Some even said that Yu was born to live in China to show how many innocent lives have been devoured by evil forces.
Following Yu's death, industry insiders are saying that his downfall began when he signed a contract with Tianyu Media. Many netizens allege that the company is not a typical talent agency but a vast system where artists are treated as mere commodities. One user wrote, Artists want to fight, but they're trapped in a huge web.
Following Yu's death, the so-called Tianyu Death List went viral online, documenting the suspicious deaths of several artists associated with the company—from Tan Beishi's accident in 2006 to Yu Menglong's in 2025. People say that nine unnatural deaths in 13 years cannot be a coincidence. Sun Derong, the company's former mentor, also stated that the company's rule was, It's better to kill by mistake than to let someone go free.
The controversy escalated when people discovered that hundreds of companies and 45 trademarks were registered in Yu's name, covering everything from cleaning products to fireworks and weapons. Following this video, Taiwan's religious community also became active. A spirit medium from Chiayi announced that he would appeal for spiritual justice for Yu's spirit. He said, The truth will come out one way or another. Many people also began appealing for justice for Yu's spirit at their local temples.
