The news of the death of popular Chinese actor Yu Menglong has shaken the nation and the world. Numerous claims, rumors, and controversies have emerged regarding his death—some claim it was not suicide but murder, while others claim he was tortured. Now, another major revelation has emerged in this case, some police files have been leaked, and Yu Menglong's mother has mysteriously disappeared.
Vision Times reported that political blogger Lao Deng revealed that many people are still unable to contact Yu Menglong's mother. He also claims that the Chinese government has placed his mother under strict surveillance and sent her away from Xinjiang and Beijing.
Meanwhile, the global organization AVAAZ has launched a petition titled Justice for Yu Menglong, which has been signed by over 130,000 people so far. However, according to reports, Chinese authorities have banned online discussion of the case. All posts related to the topic are being removed from the internet, and a complete blackout has been imposed until November.
In a report by Vision Times, analyst Chen Pokong stated that Yu Menglong's name and photos have been removed from all TV shows and online platforms. According to him, the actor is being treated as an enemy of the state after his death.
A screenshot of a leaked police report, purportedly an internal emergency report from the Beijing Chaoyang Police Department, is circulating on social media. The report describes Yu Menglong's death as an abnormal death. According to the report, he was charged with child molestation on September 9 and released on bail on September 10. Then, at 6:12 a.m. on September 11, police received information that Yu Menglong had fallen to his death.
Many fans have shared the names of influential and wealthy individuals on social media, accusing them of being involved in the conspiracy. These names include the sons of political leaders, directors, filmmakers, and actors. One user shared a long list containing the names of 15 people, including Fan Shiqi, Gao Taiyu, and Song Yiren. Some claim that Yu Menglong was lured, tortured, and killed.
Yu Menglong was born in Urumqi, Xinjiang. He studied at the Beijing Contemporary Music Academy and later graduated from the Beijing Performing Arts Training College. He appeared in several popular Chinese dramas such as Eternal Love, All Out of Love, My Loving Home, and Xuan-Yuan Sword: Han Cloud. He died on September 11, 2025, at the age of 37.
