It has been two weeks since Chinese actor Yu Menglong's mysterious death, and the case continues to captivate the public's attention, sparking intense speculation and demands for justice with new updates.
The death of 37-year-old Chinese actor Yu Menglong has sparked widespread public and international attention. According to new claims, the residents of the Sunshine Upper East residential complex, where the incident occurred, were paid large sums of money to remain silent, and some even received death threats. Hospital staff have also reportedly leaked CCTV footage showing Yu being taken to the emergency room.
On September 25, popular YouTuber Li Muyang shared a screenshot of what he claimed was a private chat between Sunshine Upper East residents. In it, one person wrote, “Isn’t my home nearby? I saw Yu Menglong’s face that day, handsome, but a bit terrifying… Later, they contacted our family and gave us tens of thousands of yuan, telling us not to speak out… After a while, I saw a slim man in a white short-sleeved shirt covering Yu Menglong with something…”
When asked if he heard any noise, he first sent a surprised emoji and then wrote,“Yes, the sound was extremely loud, like something falling… The property management said a family was throwing things around, told us not to worry…”
This whistleblower claimed that dozens of families received bribes twice, each time totaling around 1 million yuan (about 1.4 million US dollars). Some residents reported that red paint was thrown on doors and car tires were slashed to silence them. These allegations suggest that people were either bribed with money or intimidated with threats to conceal the truth.
Tian Haorong, the main suspect in this case, reportedly worth over 10 billion yuan. One netizen wrote,“Widow Capital Tian Hairong controls 13 billion yuan. Her ex-husband, Xu Ming of Dalian Shide Group, died in prison. They bought news coverage, and a month ago they were already hinting that ‘Three Lives,’ ‘Three Worlds,’ ’10 Miles of Peach Blossoms’ would have a big scandal.”
Another claim, on September 19th at 3:45, a.m. masked woman was seen searching for something in the trash outside the hospital. According to a nurse, she eventually picked up a bottle and took it away. The second autopsy report revealed injection-like marks on Yu's chest, a suspicious substance in his stomach, and pieces of skin under his fingernails that didn't belong to him.
The incident also affected properties in the Sunshine Upper East Complex. According to reports, flat prices fell by up to 8 million yuan after Yu's death. On September 23, 93 flats were sold, while the next day, 157 units were sold. Residents began leaving their homes out of fear. One netizen wrote, People are selling their homes because they fear they too might disappear one day.
