What's hot...
The film has very good visuals. The makers have photographed the elephants in all their glory. Mark Irwin and Sachin Gadankush have done a great job. You will get that sense of wondering and aww on seeing the elephants. Talking about the acting department, Atul Kulkarni (Keshav) and Akshay Oberoi (Dev) prove they are reliable performers. Vidyut Jammwal is good in parts. Pooja Sawant registers her presence better than Asha Bhatt. The poaching scene is heart-wrenching and leaves an impact.
What's not...
The film does not have a story as such and the dialogues are quite pedestrian. However, that is not the main problem. When you have an action star like Vidyut Jammwal with you, the fights have to be better. We have seen him do miracles with his body in the Commando series and Junglee is sorely disappointing on this front. There are some scenes that hold so much potential but are a let down as you don't get what you expect. In a bid to add a story, they ruin what could have been an entertaining action adventure. Some of the portions are rather gimmicky as well. Chuck Russell seems to get into form at the end but it is too late.
BL Verdict
Junglee is a wasted opportunity for Vidyut Jammwal and fans of the action star. We guess we have to wait for the Commando series.
