118 Collections report: This Nandamuri Kalyanram-starrer gets a decent start at the box office

With good reviews and positive response from audience, the film is expected to do some good business over the weekend.

Kalyanram Nandamuri is back in action with 118 which has released a day ago. Directed by KV Guhan, this thriller is receiving great reviews from audience and critics. Also starring Nivetha Thomas and Shalini Pandey in other lead roles, the film is raking in good collections at the box office too. On first day, 118 has clocked a little over Rs 1.55 crore in Telugu states. Overseas, the film has been faring well and has earned a gross collection of $89,000 approximately which includes the premier shows as well. With good reviews and positive response from audience, the film is expected to do some good business over the weekend, experts predict. 118 couldn't, however, beat Kalyanram's previous best Pataas on first day collections which stands at Rs 4 crore approximately. Although the long run collections report of 118 has the potential to do well than his previous ones and clock some good numbers. 118 is produced by Mahesh S Koneru and has music composed by Sekhar Chandra. The makers held a pre-release event recently in Hyderabad which had Nandamuri Balakrishna and Jr NTR as the special guests. In the past, Kalyanram has experimented with subjects and tried to shed his massy image with films like Naa Nuvve. But destiny had something else in store for him and the films couldn't succeed. But 118 seems to worked out for Kalyanram and the film is doing decent business.
