After Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, Tamil actors Simbu aka STR and Arvind Swami will join hands again and this time it would be for a biopic. The two stars will be seen playing popular Tamil personalities MGR and MR Radha in a film which will be directed by Ike, grandson of the former. The film will be produced by Radhikaa who is also related to the two legends. Simbu will be seen playing MR Radha while Arvind Swami will be seen playing MGR in this film which is yet to be titled. "For those who've never seen him but never forgotten him - This ones for U ! Unveiling untold stories of my legendary grandfather 'Nadigavel' M.R.Radha in a Film which I hope I do justice to as a grandson & more importantly as a fan #MRRadhaTheFilm #Nadigavel #WorkInProgress [sic]" tweeted Ike couple of days ago.
Ike also said he would want to showcase MR Radha as a different person since he was always perceived as a controversial person. "Many have showcased him as the bad guy, but he was also a doting father. These stories are known only to our close family members. In my film, I'd showcase his ideologies, which I feel should be told to the world," Ika told India Today in an interview. Reportedly, the pre-production works of the film are underway and soon more details will be revealed.
