Actress Amala Paul's father, Varghese Paul, passed away yesterday. It was a tragic moment for the actress who had been busy promoting her film, Adho Andha Paravai Pola, away. As soon as she got the unfortunate news, the actress flew to her hometown. As per a report in an entertainment portal, Varghese Paul, 61, was taking a treatment at a private hospital in Kochi for some time. The father of the actress passed away on Tuesday. Amala Paul was in Chennai for the promotions of Adho Andha Paravai Pola.
An official statement was release announcing the same that read, "We regret to inform the demise of Mr. Paul Varghese, Father of Actress Amala Paul. Funeral Date 22.1.20 Cremation Time 3pm to 5pm Address St. Peter & St. Paul Catholic Church, Kuruppampadi."
Meanwhile reports of Amala Paul venturing into the digital space. Mahesh Bhatt had announced he would be entering the web-space with a web series surrounding the life of an actress. It would be a biographical drama and as soon as the filmmaker announced the same there were speculations that it would be based on his rumoured romance with the late actress Parveen Babi.
Reports of Amala Paul being approached for the same has been surfaced now. Apart from that and Adho Andha Paravai Pola, on the work front, At present, Amala has quite a few films including, Cadaver. However, she will not be seen playing the lead role in it. It marks Amala's maiden production venture. Anoop Panicker would be seen helming this film while Abhilash Pillai would be handling the scripting of the same. Reports are that the film is based on some real-life investigative cases. Amala Paul has done a lot of research to get into the skin of the character and had trained under a pathologist.
