Bigg Boss Tamil 3 has been in the news ever since it has commenced due to controversial statements, evictions and arguments between the housemates. But the latest development about the show is something totally different might bring a new perspective about the show. One of the contestants filmmaker Cheran revealed an interesting aspect about himself during a task which has left viewers talking. Cheran revealed which celebrity advised him to participate in Bigg Boss when he was skeptical about agreeing to it. It was Vijay Sethupathi who encouraged and advised him to enter the Bigg Boss house, Cheran revealed. Sethupathi told Cheran that people of Tamil Nadu needed to know the journey of Cheran and hence he should agree to enter the Bigg Boss house, said Cheran. Cheran revealed this during a task where a contestant had to ask another contestant a peculiar question about them which would reveal unknown facts. Cheran was asked why agreed to enter Bigg Boss house despite achieving fame and status through his films. It is to be noted here that before Cheran entered Bigg Boss, there were reports that he could collaborate with Vijay Sethupathi for a project, but nothing was officially confirmed.

Earlier, Bigg Boss Tamil was marred with controversies after Saravanan revealed, during the weekend episode with host Kamal Haasan, that he used to board crowded buses to grope women. Saravanan faced a lot of backlash online including many #MeToo movement victims. Saravanan, in later episode, apologised for his words and told viewers that he repented his act and urged everyone to not behave in such unruly manner.
The show will not enter it's fourth week and will witness the third eviction. In the latest weekend episode, Meera Mithun was evicted from the show after receiving minimum votes from audience to stay in the show.
