Within a span of just two years, Ananya Panday's stocks have rapidly risen in Bollywood and now, the young actress is about to spread her wings in Telugu cinema as well. The actress' lineup now boasts of a pan-India film like Liger, directed by Puri Jagannath, besides Shakun Batra's next movie alongside Deepika Padukone and Siddhant Chaturvedi. It is a rather commendable feat for a young actress like her to work with accomplished directors at such an early stage of the career, isn't it?
In a recent interview, with a leading publication, speaking about working on Liger and Shakun Batra's next, Ananya revealed, “Both the projects are challenging me because they’re very different roles from what I’ve done before, and also from each other.”
Speaking about Shakun Batra's film, Ananya disclosed, “Shakun’s film is in a genre which hasn’t been explored in Bollywood yet. And I think people will be really interested to see that, as well as the whole dynamic between the four of us.”
With Liger, Ananya has a personal connection as it belongs to the genre of cinema she loves watching. “It’s the masala, popcorn entertaining kind of film that I’ve loved watching. There are high expectations that I’ve set for myself from this one,” she confessed.
Liger also marks Ananya Panday's first footsteps into the multilingual arena of films and her debut in Telugu cinema. The film will also mark Vijay Deverakonda's foray into Bollywood. With Shakun Batra's next, the young actress will share screen space with Deepika Padukone and Siddhant Chaturvedi, making the audience wait with a bated breath to watch the dynamic trio on screen.
