Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan starrer Acharya, which was scheduled to hit the screens in May, was postponed by the makers due to the second wave of COVID-19. While the producers are planning to release the film in August, the latest reports suggest a crucial update on the entry of the Magadheera star. Talking about the film, it is directed by Janatha Garage and Srimanthudu helmer Koratala Siva and produced under the banners of Konidela Production Company and Matinee Entertainments. It also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Sonu Sood, Jisshu Sengupta and Pooja Hegde in pivotal roles.
Meanwhile, Ram Charan will be next seen in SS Rajamouli's RRR, which is one of the most-anticipated films of the year. In the motion poster of the film, we saw Ram Charan as the element of fire and Jr. NTR as water. When asked about this, SS Rajamouli replied, "Fire and Water are the two opposing elements. One can destroy the other. But if they come together and create steam, the force generated can run the motor of the world." The filmmaker hinted that they come together against the Britishers. The director also said that since the duo are good friends it was easy for him to bring them on board. "They didn't even take a minute to say yes," revealed the filmmaker. Produced by DVV entertainment, the film also stars Jr NTR, Olivia Morris, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt and Shriya Sharan in key roles. The film is set to hit the screens on October 13 at the box office.
