So, do you consider yourself a hardcore South movie-buff? Good, then think of the biggest announcement you could've imagined. Done? Now, extrapolate that announcement and make it bigger. Done? Well, we bet you still couldn't have come up with this one. Reports are streaming in fast and furious that ace Director A.R. Murugadoss is planning the biggest crossover between Tamil and Telugu cinema, and he has already approached two of the biggest stars from either industry, stalwart Kamal Haasan and heartthrob Mahesh Babu, for the same. What's more, these are only the two main names that we've heard as of now as the movie is touted to be a huge multi-starrer, with several other notable actors from both Kollywood and Tollywood expected to come on board for key roles.
The reports further state that Kamal Haasan is likely to begin shooting for the film soon after wrapping up his forthcoming Tamil movies, Vikram and Indian 2, about which time Mahesh Babu should also be done with his work on Sarkaru Vaari Paata. It's being said that the latter may be playing a CBI officer in the AR Murugadoss directorial while it's possible that the former will be seen in the role of a father whose daughter is his entire life.
A.R. Murugadoss has previously directed Mahesh Babu in Spyder, however, the film was panned both critically and commercially, so here's hoping that their sophomore outing turns, if it were to materials, turns out to be better. On the other hand, it'll be the first time that he'll collaborate with Kamal Haasan.
