2018 witnessed a series of offbeat films being made in Tollywood and one of them was RX 100. Directed by Ajay Bhupathi, the film starred Kartikeya and Payal Rajput in lead roles and was a romantic tale. The film went on to become a blockbuster hit because of the rawness the subject had. The film is now being remade in Bollywood with Ahan Shetty, son of Suniel Shetty, and Tara Sutaria, who will debut with Student of the Year 2. The remake will be directed by Milan Luthria and the cast and crew is prepping up for the shooting currently. BollywoodLife caught up with Kartikeya who played the male lead role in the original RX 100 and we asked him his feelings about the remake. Speaking about Ahan reprising his role, Kartikeya said, "I have not been following much but I have seen Ahan Shetty's pictures. A lot of people said that we both look similar. The character in RX 100 needs a good physique and innocence in your look and I feel Ahan has both of that."

Kartikeya also added that it is not just the look that will make the character a memorable one. "I think, the rest depends on how the director goes about portraying the character," he added further. The young actor also says that he swells with pride because his debut film is being remade in Bollywood and has garnered great buzz around it. "I'm hoping the remake works well because it will be a proud feeling for me. I was the one who believed in the script and when there was no one backing it. And today, when it is being remade in Bollywood with such big stars, I swell with a feeling of pride," said Kartikeya.
