There were too many speculations around the actress who would play the leading lady in Bigil actor Vijay's next which will be Maanagaram fame Lokesh Kanagaraj. It was being reported that the film will have two female lead actresses and this made way to speculations that Geetha Govindam actress Rashmika Mandanna and Raashi Khanna have been signed on for the film. However, we have exclusively learnt something about the film which is tentatively titled Thalapathy 64. Sources close to the actress reveal that Rashmika Mandanna is not part of Thalapathy 64 contrary to all the speculations doing the rounds. Our sources reveal that Rashmika had to let go of the project due to date issues since she has already agreed to projects in Telugu and Kannada. We have learnt that Rashmika gave it a thought before letting the film pass, but wishes to work with Vijay in the future. Fans of the pretty actress would have loved to see her sharing screen space with a star like Vijay.

Rashmika Mandanna will next be seen in Dear Comrade which stars her Geetha Govindam co-star Vijay Deverakonda. Directed by Bharat Kamma, Rashmika would be seen playing a cricketer in the film. Rashmika will also be making her debut in Tamil with Karthi's next project. This yet untitled project will be directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan and is currently being shot.

Speaking about Vijay, the Thalapathy of Tamil cinema, as fans have crowned him, has joined hands with Atlee again for the third time. The film has been titled Bigil and the poster was recently released on Vijay's birthday as a treat to fans. Bigil stars Nayanthara as the leading lady and it will be her fourth project alongside Vijay. Bigil is expected to be released during Diwali this year, like Vijay's previous two releases Mersal and Sarkar.
