The bubbly star of the 90's turns a year older
Born on September 29, 1970, Khushbu once ruled the Tamil film industry. At 44, this talented actor has achieved much and is now content to keep her big screen acting commitments to a minimum; instead, she prefers to work for television, run their production house along with husband Sundar C, the actor-director, and spend time with her teenage daughters. The actor made her debut as Rajinikanth’s romantic interest in the 1988 film Dharmathin Thalaivan, paired up with the Superstar in several other hit films such as Pandian, Annamalai and Mannan. The Kushboo-Prabhu jodi was also once in-demand in Kollywood and featured in films like Chinna Vaathiyar and Utthama Rasa.
Khushbu was so popular at the height of her career, some fans built and dedicated a temple to her; an idli got named after the actress as well. Khushbu has also always been known for her straight-talking and for championing the cause of the liberated woman. Here’s wishing this feisty actor a very happy birthday.
