Seems like the Telugu film industry has been jinxed! After a Varun Tej and Naga Shaurya, it is now Sharwanand who has injured himself while shooting for his upcoming film 96. Sharwanand was in Thailand and was practicing skydiving in Thailand for a scene in 96 and landed on his shoulder resulting in dislocation. The actor was rushed to a nearby hospital and was given immediate treatment, reportedly. Sharwanand is now back in Hyderabad and will soon undergo a surgery on the shoulder which will keep him out of action for more than 4 weeks. Reportedly, this injury to Sharwanand has disturbed the schedule of the shooting of the film. An official confirmation regarding the whole situation from the production house is waited for.
96 is the official Telugu remake of Tamil hit with the same title and starred Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha in lead roles. The remake is being directed by the director of original C Prem Kumar and is slated to be released later this year. Samantha Akkineni will be seen playing the leading lady in 96 Telugu film. The remake is being produced by Dil Raju who is one of the top producers in Tollywood.
Earlier, actor Varun Tej met with an accident while traveling in a car. The actor tweeted saying he had an accident and everyone was safe. The accident happened during the shooting of his upcoming film Valmiki which is a remake of Tamil film Jigarthanda.
In another incident, Oh Baby actor Naga Shaurya too met with an accident while shooting for an action episode for his upcoming film in Vizag. Shaurya, while jumping off a building, during a stint sequence lost balance which resulted in his left leg getting fractured. The actor opted to not use a body double or harness while shooting for the scene.
