The versatile actor expressed his views on Supreme Court's order to banish Section 66A from the Information Technology Act
Kamal Haasan is known for his vast knowledge in filmmaking and often shares his views on various events which impact his creative side. So when Supreme Court ordered to strike down the Section 66A from Information Technology Act, citing that it stifles the public's Right To Information Act, no one could be happier than Kamal Haasan who welcomed the decision with open arms.
Talking to a leading daily, Kamal Haasan said," I feel information technology's growth should not be stopped, cannot be stopped. It is a welcome change". Also taking a dig at Censor Board Chief Pahlaj Nihlani's guidelines on abusive words, the Viswaroopam actor said," Such guidelines 'stifle' freedom of expression of the movie maker."
With shooting of Papanasam wrapped up, it seems like Mr Haasan is taking a break before starting off with Marudhanayagam. His film Uttama Villain is set to hit the screens of April 10. Not a big believer of promotions, Kamal Haasan expects the film doing the talking as he concentrates on voicing out his views on various issues.
