Kick 2 trailer: Ravi Teja packs punches and delivers punch lines in this typical masala entertainer!

Same old action. Same old comedy. But the quirkiness which was the highlight of its predecessor seems to be missing

Ravi Teja made a name for himself with Kick, which later gained recognition all over the nation once it was remade in Hindi with Salman Khan in lead. I have seen Ravi Teja's Kick and loved it for its quirky, crazy factor. So when it was announced that a sequel to Kick is on the cards, I like any other fan got excited. But now that I have checked out the trailer of Kick 2, I gotta say that I am a little disappointed. Lets get this straight, I never expected something out of the box when I heard about Kick 2. All that I expected was typical Ravi Teja style of humour, mixed with action and quirky romance. Essentially, these were the ingredients of Kick's success. But the trailer unfortunately has only a fraction of energy and madness which was there in its predecessor. Ravi Teja tries to take a leaf out of his character in Kick, but somewhere failed to create an impact in the trailer. Rakul Preet Singh is there just for 3 seconds in the trailer and one knows what to expect from her in the film. Ravi Kishen plays villain, sporting contact lenses to make him look threatening. Ravi Teja is the only one who manages to keep you interested, as he replaces the word 'kick' with çomfort' this time around. The promo has everything you expect from a commercial Ravi Teja film - mindless action, silly comedy, songs in foreign locales and fights in rustic backdrops. But that element of surprise, that touch of madness that was there in Kick seems to be missing in Kick 2
