The highly anticipated venture of megastar Mahesh Babu, Maharshi released yesterday and opened to a fantastic response at the ticket windows. The promos and song were loved by the audience, which helped the political drama to get a good boost at the box office. Just like Mahesh Babu's previous hits Bharat Ane Nenu and Srimanthudu, Maharshi also has a strong social message, which has received positive reviews from the audience. Mahesh Babu's wife and actress Namrata Shirodkar shared a group picture of team Maharshi and Vijay Deverakonda's Dear Comrade and captioned it, "Celebrating #maharshi♥️♥️♥️"
Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, the film also stars Pooja Hegde and Allari Naresh in key roles. Maharshi is being jointly produced by Dil Raju, Aswini Dutt and PVP Pictures. Despite getting a huge thumbs up from the cinegoers, the film has received mixed reviews from the critics. Our critic Gautham Pattikonda, gave the film two stars and wrote, "Mahesh Babu's Maharshi is like a sunny side up and it is tough to decide which side is better. With all the hype the film had ahead of release, fans would certainly find it disappointing." But we hope that these reviews, won't affect the business of Maharshi and it will emerge as a winner at the ticket windows.
Talking about Vijay Deverakonda, the actor will be next seen in Dear Comrade. The political drama is all set to hit the screens on July 26. Vijay is essaying the character of a student leader from a communist family, while Rashmika Mandanna is seen as a cricketer playing for Telangana state. The film is produced under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers, who had delivered hits like Srimanthudu and Rangasthalam. Anyway, are you planning to Maharshi this weekend? Tweet to us @bollywood_life.
