On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, the makers of Thalapathy Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi starrer Master released the promo yesterday at 6 pm on Sun TV's YouTube channel and in no time it became the top trend on all social media platforms. While the 90 second promo got a thundering response from the fans, it became the most teaser in India with 1.6 million likes and that too in just 16 hours. Well, we can surely say that the power Thalapathy is the reason behind this achievement. The promo is nearing 20 million views and we are sure that we will new records from this film in the coming days.
Master, which is bankrolled under the banners of XB Film Creators and Seven Screen Productions, also stars Arjun Das and Shantanu Bhagyaraj in pivotal roles. In the recently held audio launch, the actor praised his costar, Vijay Sethupathi, and said, "Vijay Sethupathi has now become a person who cannot be avoided. We have seen many negative characters, but his role in Master will be special. I asked him why he agreed to do the film and he shut me down by saying four words — I really like you."
Appreciating his director, Thalapathy Vijay said, "With Maanagaram, Lokesh made us notice his talent. His next film Kaithi made us watch it again and again. Lokesh has a special talent. Being a banker, he has managed to do a film like Maanagaram, which has a complex script. He won't even have a scene break-up paper in his hand on the set of Master and I was confused seeing this. I wondered how to work with him for the next few months. Later, I realised, Lokesh is not just a planner, but a master-planner." The actor concluded the speech with a punch-line to his haters, "Kill them with your success, bury them with your smile. Sometimes, if we have to stay true, we have to be silent."
