His wife, Meghana Raj who was pregnant with their first child survived the tough phase to give birth to a baby boy in October 2020. Now, the actor's film Raanam is going to release today in Karnataka. He had four films up for release when he passed away in that tragic manner. Meghana has shared the poster of the action entertainer. In February, she went to the theatres with the couple's friends to watch Rajamarthanda, which was also an action flick. Chiranjeevi Sarja was known for action and romantic films.
On June 7, 2020 he suffered a sudden cardiac arrest. The family rushed him to the Apollo Hospital but the doctors said that he could not be revived. It was a huge shock for the Karnataka film industry. The news came out later that Meghana Raj was in her third trimester. The couple were supposed to make an announcement in some days. Meghana Raj got immense support from her family and in-laws to tide through the tough phase. She is now sharing cute posts with her son, who is lovingly called as Junior Chiru.
Meghana Sarja also worked as an actress in South Indian movies. It seems she is planning to make a comeback when her son grows up a bit. Chiranjeevi Sarja is the nephew of Kannada veteran superstar Arjun Sarja. Meghana Raj introduced her son to the world in February 2021. They call him Junior C or Little Simba. His brother, Dhruva Sarja is also an action star in Kannada movies. His last film, Pogaru was a blockbuster. It had Rashmika Mandanna in the female lead. Post his death, she wrote on social media, "An unfathomable pain shoots through my soul everytime I see the door and you don't walk in shouting "Baby! I am home". There is a sinking feeling in my heart when I can't touch you every minute of everyday. Like a thousand deaths, slow and painful. But then, like a magic spell I feel you around me. Every time I feel weak, you are around me like a guardian angel. You love me so much that you just couldn't leave me behind alone, could you? Our little one is your precious gift to me-a symbol of our love- and I am eternally grateful to you for this sweet miracle."
