Synopsis: Adithya Varma is a Tamil remake of Arjun Reddy. Adithya Varma is about a short-tempered house surgeon who gets used to drugs and drinks when his girlfriend marries another person.
Dhruv Vikram is the son of Chiyaan Vikram. Dhruv is making his debut in the show business with Adithya Varma. The debutante impresses with his convincing portrayal of as an alcoholic and drug-addicted surgeon. Banita Sandhu, who was seen in the Varun Dhawan starrer, October, is playing the female lead in the film. Directed by Gireesaaya, it is bankrolled by E4 Entertainment. The cinematography of the film is done by Rave K Chandram and the music is composed by Radhan.
Both the south films, Kabir Singh and Arjun Reddy, garnered criticism for being misogynistic and totally violent. Talking about the same, Dhruv told Deccan Chronicle, "I think when you watch the film, you will see the changes we have made. And yes, we have changed quite a bit to avoid such criticism."
Dhruv also revealed that his father is very critical to his work as he told Cinema Express, "If he doesn’t like a particular take, he will call it ‘trash’ right away. He is pretty straight forward when it comes to working, and he can be critical, given his experience in the industry." Well, we hope the Adithya Varma repeats the box office success like Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh.
