Due to the second wave of COVID-19, we saw several films getting delayed at the domestic box office. And the latest one to join them is Venkatesh Daggubati's Narappa. The lead stars shared this news on his Twitter account, where he wrote, "In lieu of the pandemic, #Narappa will not be releasing on May 14th . A new theatrical date will be announced once we overcome this unprecedented crisis. Stay safe !"
The film, which is the remake of Dhanush and Manju Warrier starrer Asuran, also features Priyamani, Ammu Abhirami, Karthik Rathnam, Rao Ramesh, Prakash Raj, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj and Rajeev Kanakala in pivotal roles. It is produced under Suresh Productions in association with V Creations of Kalaipuli S Dhanu. While the action of the film is directed by Peter Heins, the camera is cranked by Syam K Naidu.
Narappa is one of the highly-anticipated Telugu films. Venkatesh had announced the release date of the film by sharing an intriguing poster on January 29. Meanwhile, the actor is busy with the shooting of F3, which also stars Varun Tej, Mehreen Pirzadaa and Tamannaah Bhatia in pivotal roles. The film is directed by Anil Ravipudi and is scheduled to hit the screens on August 27, 2020.
