The trailer of Suriya Sivakumar-starrer NGK was unveiled at an event in Chennai yesterday which was attended by actor Suriya, Sai Pallavi, director Selvaraghavan and many others. Post the launch of the trailer, the cast and crew of the film spoke at the event and had great words about the film, actor Suriya and others. But one speech that is sending fans into frenzy is Suriya's. Before speaking about the film, Suriya requested the members present at the event to maintain a minute's silence as remembrance of the victims in the Sri Lanka blast which happened recently. More than 300 people died in the blast on Easter and several injured. This gesture by Suriya is winning hearts and the actor is being hailed as a sensible celebrity. Watch the video here:
Speaking at the event,
Suriya said that every day was a richening experience for him working with director Selvaraghavan. "Director Selvaraghavan opted for a subject which I never tried before. Every day on the sets of NGK felt like a new film to me. What was done the previous day would be totally different from what was being done today. Every day was a new learning experience and kept getting better," said Suriya at the event.

Suriya recalled an interesting incident with Selvaraghavan and shared it during the event. "In 2002, after Selva wrapped up Kaadhal Kondein, he told me that he had edited the songs and wanted me to take a look at them. I watched them at his edit suite which was opposite Mani Ratnam's in Chennai. After watching the songs, I told Selva that day I want to work with him on a film. And it is happening after 17 years now. It has been a long wait to work with Selvaraghavan and I'm very happy now. Selva is ahead of our times and thinks at a different level," added Suriya.
