Odiyan featuring Mohanlal has released today worldwide and the film has been garnering mixed response from audience. Directed by VA Shrikumar Menon, Odiyan is a period thriller and features Mohanlal as Manickyan, who is the last surviving man of a tribe in the Palakkad region of Kerala. There were high expectations from the film for obvious reasons and the film had a great opening not just in India but across the globe. Audience feels that Odiyan is a Mohanlal show all the way but the film falls flat because of it’s narrative. Some viewers even felt that the film crawls to the end making it a humdrum affair. Mohanlal is being much appreciated by fans for his menacing act as Manickyan, a role which he has never tried before in his career. However, many felt that the film is a one-time watch in cinema halls because it is not every day that a film like this is made in Malayalam. Read all the tweets here:

Jayachandran and Sam CS and the music directors are receiving a special mention from the audience. Mohanlal went through a transformation for this project and is seen sporting a leaner look in the film which has caught the attention of audience.
