The ace cinematographer turned director will be handling the camera for Dharma Productions' next
Cinematographer-turned-director Ravi K Chandran is looking forward to the release of his directorial debut Yaan starring Jiiva and Thulasi. He told the media that he is new to direction despite his vast experience working with all the A-listers in Bollywood.
Ravi as we know is not new to films. Ravi has worked as a cinematographer for 25 years on some of the best Hindi films like Dil Chahta Hai, Black, Ghajini, My Name is Khan and Koi…Mil Gaya. In Tamil, he has worked on Shankar and Mani Ratnam films like Boys and Aayutha Ezhuthu.
The Yaan director is set to take a short holiday after the release of the film. And post that he’s back in Bollywood! Yes, Ravi is taking on a Dharma Productions film directed by Sonam Nair as cinematographer. Sonam is doing a sex comedy for the Karan Johan production house and Ravi will be part of this project. It’s a film starring newcomers and with Ravi’s experience we are sure it’ll be a breeze for him. Will Ravi then set his sights on directing a Hindi film?
