A Pakistan internet user had posted a picture of a hammer and asked followers what it is called in their country. And a user from Tamil Nadu, in reply to the post, said that it is a hammer that fell on the head of Nesamani who fell unconscious.
Who is Nesamani? Nesamani is the character played by Vadivelu in a movie titled Friends which stars Suriya and Vijay in lead roles. Vadivelu is the head of all the workers who finds it hard to get work done by his subordinates. And in the process, a hammer falls on his head which results in him falling unconscious. This context was used by the Tamil Nadu user in replying to the post about the hammer. Soon, users unleashed their creative side and came up with memes which will leave you ROFL. From foreign social media influencers to South Indian movie buffs, many have been tweeting about Nesamani and the hashtag #PrayForNesamani is trending at the top in the digital world. Vadivelu was asked about this by a South Indian entertainment portal and his response received much appreciation. Vadivelu said that if his character, played by him more than two decades ago, is making people laugh, then he is the happiest person on this planet at the present moment.
