The teaser of Mysskin's Psycho is out. And it is definitely not for the faint-hearted. Udhyanidhi Stalin, Nithya Menen and Aditi Rao Hydari are the main actors of the film. The teaser begins with a shot of a dimly lit road and a car stops suddenly. It looks like a classic slasher film. We can understand why they have given it an 'A' certificate. From the shot of a naked man to that of a woman who has been butchered and how, the scenes are gory and disturbing. It looks like a thrilling serial killer flick from the word go. Nithya Menen and Aditi Rao Hydari pack a punch as the distressed woman and the latter is particularly effective. The BGM is kickass while PC Sreeram's cinematography builds on that tension and dread. It seems the story is based on the tale of Angulimala. We know that he is a troubled brigand who transforms into a saint after he meets Gautama Buddha. Mysskin said in an interview, "Psycho belongs to the slasher genre. It is a psycho thriller and has an emotional angle of course, but the film has got a big load of sequences that will frighten you. Sometimes you will take your eyes off the screen because you may not be able to watch what’s happening." In the film, Udhayanidhi Stalin plays the role of a visually challenged man while a newcomer is the disturbed serial killer. Mysskin has confirmed that it is based on the tale of Angulimala.
