Ram Gopal Varma slams CBFC for delaying censor formalities of Lakshmi's NTR; later clarifies it as misunderstanding

Ram Gopal Varma claimed that the CBFC board is on purpose delaying the censor formalities of the film.

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma is at it again with his latest project Lakshmi's NTR, which is touted to be a biopic on legendary actor NT Rama Rao. According to the filmmaker, the movie will portray the political journey of the iconic actor and how he was betrayed by people close to him. This aspect about the film has garnered huge attention from movie buffs and followers of politics, especially workers of the NTR's political party. Many are opposing the release of the film since the elections are around the corner. Adding to this buzz, Ram Gopal Varma claimed that the CBFC board is on purpose delaying the censor formalities of the film. RGV says that few people with vested interests are trying hard to stall the release of Lakshmi's NTR but he would fight any power that comes in his way. And just a day after slamming the CBFC, RGV says that there has been a misunderstanding between his office and the board members. Lakshmi's NTR, according to RGV, is a love story of NTR and Lakshmi Parvathi and will also depict the betrayal NTR went through during his political journey. The film has created a stir amongst political circles in Andhra Pradesh since it portrays a popular politician in a controversial light.
