Rashmika Mandanna career may be just about five years old, and her Bollywood debut is yet to happen. But Rashmika, who has already garnered sizeable popularity in the Kannada, Telugu and Tamil film industries, has been named the National Crush by her fans. And while many people would be willing to marry her, Rashmika recently said that she would tie the knot with a Tamilian.
The actress made her acting debut with the 2016 Kannada film Kirik Party followed by the Telugu debut Chalo. She recently entered the Tamil industry with Sulthan in which she played the role of a village belle. And while shooting the film, Rashmika said that she got attracted to the culture of Tamil Nadu and especially the food. And she went on to say that she will marry a Tamilian.
"I really got attracted to the culture of Tamil Nadu and especially the food. I fell in love with the Tamil food and it’s really delicious. Hopefully I will marry a Tamilian and become the daughter-in-law of Tamil Nadu” Rashmika said during her recent interaction with the media.
Now, we will have to wait and watch who that lucky Tamilian will be.
Rashmika, who is known for roles in hit Telugu films such as Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade among others, is amused that fans down South have coined the term 'National Crush' to describe her. She prefers to underplay the adulation.
Asked if she is aware of the title, the actress had told IANS, "I am aware of it but at the same time I am not. I know that there is so much love for me out there but I am not swayed by it. I know where my roots are and I know what all this is. I am mindful of who I am a person, so it is not that I am like 'Oh my God!, I get to be swayed away by all love."
Rashmika is all set to sign her third Bollywood film. Incidentally, she signed her second film in Bollywood even before her debut feature is out. She shot to the spotlight in the Hindi entertainment domain by starring in the popular Top Tucker video filmed on the song by Uchana Amit, Jonita Gandhi, Yuvan Shankar Raja and Badshah. She will make her Bollywood debut with the spy thriller Mission Majnu, and her second Hindi film is the Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Goodbye.
